Pepco brand, undergoing a brand image transformation and communicating the new, higher quality of its products, decided to create a unique, interactive experience zone. A key element of this zone was the use of motion sensors, which innovatively connected the physical world of Pepco products with the world of digital content, engaging participants' senses and building deep, positive associations with the brand.
The aim of the activation was to fully immerse the participant in the world of Pepco's new quality. Motion sensors became a tool that transformed passive product viewing into active exploration and interaction. Here's how it worked and what effects it brought:
Instead of a static display, Pepco products were placed in a space that reacted to participants' actions. A motion sensor, discreetly built-in or placed near the product, became the key to unlocking additional content. Lifting a product from the shelf activated an audio-visual sequence.
Each product had a dedicated story assigned to it, presented in the form of a short film. By picking up a specific product, the participant launched a personalized story about its quality, functionality.
The combination of motion sensors with screens and audio systems allowed for simultaneous engagement of sight and hearing. Additionally, the physical touch of the product (lifting, close inspection) added a tactile dimension, creating a full, three-dimensional experience.
Interaction with motion sensors introduced an element of surprise and fun. Participants, discovering that their movements activate content, became more curious and willing to explore more products. This transformed the experience zone into an interactive playground, where discovering Pepco's new offer became a pleasure.
